David Busta Basketball Tournament & Silent Auction

 

Aurora WDC is a proud sponsor of the David Busta Basketball Tournament & Silent Auction, to be held in my hometown of Chetek, Wisconsin on Saturday 25 November from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Entering its fourth year in 2006 and the brainchild of my brother Derek Johnson (Aurora's research and analysis director) and his high school friend (and Aurora alum) Charley Anderson, it's a fun day of basketball and auction items, inspired by David Busta, their pal and teammate from Chetek High School.

 

Join Aurora, as a sponsor or even field a team, to benefit stem cell research at the University of Wisconsin Madison's Waisman Center (my alma mater), the nation's first and (so far) only stem cell bank and home of Professor James Thomson's first isolation of a stem cell line twelve years ago.

 

Whatever your political inclination, I am confident medical science will find therapies and even cures for these and many other diseases and disabilities while maintaining the utmost respect for human life and bioethics. And I am proud to support Wisconsin as our state continues to lead the nation in stem cell research.
